The consortium agreement pertains to the establishment of a new transformer station and includes design, construction, civil engineering, electrical and installation work on a turnkey contract for Vattenfall Eldistribution AB in Jokkmokk municipality.

The PT 33 Vaikijaur project will start fairly immediately and will be completed in its entirety in 2019.

 - This is an interesting project, and through the consortium agreement and the collaboration with ABB, NYAB takes another step, says project manager Lennart Wäppling, NYAB.

- We are pleased to have won ABB's trust and together with them Vattenfall's trust.

It is a challenging and interesting project and we hope for a long-term fruitful collaboration with ABB and the feeling is of course good in that we choose to be part of a consortium with them, during the negotiations we have understood that ABB values long-term and sustainability as much as our technical know-how, says Fredrik Karkiainen, business area manager NYAB.

- We look forward to nurturing Vattenfall's trust together with NYAB and have the ambition to hand over a facility that exceeds the customer's expectations, says Christian Stering, ABB

ABB Ltd is a Swedish-Swiss global engineering group in electric power and automation technology. ABB has over 130,000 employees in around 100 countries.
