New school buildings will be built within Lillholmsskolan, which is located in Skärholmen in southern Stockholm. The project includes the demolition of three school buildings with an associated part of the schoolyard as well as water and sewerage work and ground work for the future school buildings.
The contract form is a construction contract and the work will begin after the turn of the year and be completed in the summer of 2020. The tender has been submitted and the project is being carried out by NYAB Mälardalen AB.
NYAB, which started as a small Luleå company in 2013, has had strong growth since its inception, mainly concentrated in Norrbotten. This October, Johan Skoog took over as CEO of NYAB Mälardalen, which organizationally sorts as a fifth business area in the NYAB Group. NYAB Mälardalen opened the Group's first Stockholm office this October.
- A very gratifying contract, and of great importance for our start-up in Stockholm. Before the end of January, we are around fifteen employees, and we have now ensured that we enter 2020 with a good order backlog. In addition to this contract, we will shortly announce other won assignments, including at Arlanda. We will manage SISAB's trust and deliver a high-class contract and end product, says Johan Skoog, CEO of NYAB Mälardalen.
- More Norrbotten to Sweden. In recent years, NYAB has carried out projects and assignments of a more "special" nature on the west coast, in Stockholm and as far south as Småland. And increasingly down the Norrland coast. What we are doing now with NYAB Mälardalen is of a completely different nature. We are now establishing ourselves in full scale to compete over time in the local market in Stockholm. And we do it with a mainly local management and organization. This is a big step for us and gives the group good opportunities for development, says Johan Larsson, CEO of NYAB.
