“In the winter of 2012/2013, NYAB has laid a foundation to meet its set goal of a growth rate exceeding 40% per year for the next three years, regarding 2013, 2014 and 2015. Goals were also set to seriously establish NYAB in the ore fields already during the current year, ie. 2013.
In order to achieve these objectives with continued high quality and customer satisfaction, solid work has been carried out in the areas of communication, training, profiling, areas of work manager, administration, specialization, reorganization and new hires.
I can state with joy and pride that NYAB already at the turn of the month July / August 2013 has an order backlog that far exceeds the full-year growth target of 40%. Our planned establishment in the ore fields must also be seen as a completed fact as we have a number of general, sub- and turnkey contracts, primarily in Gällivare but also in Kiruna and outside Pajala.
Our new recruitments have turned out well, everyone is involved and contributes, which is a must for NYAB as the staff and employees are our most important resource and our main means of competition. We are well on our way to building the team spirit and culture that characterizes a winning team.
The market situation in Norrbotten is generally summarized as follows: The availability of work / projects must be described as good from a historical perspective. However, I am of the opinion that the margins are lower and the price level more pressured than what I have experienced during my 15 years in the industry. The reason for this is, of course, competition in the form of "new" players for this geography as well as existing players who have a strong growth in certain niches.
In conclusion, I would like to thank our employees, customers, partners and suppliers for my first word in this, because together we have succeeded in the first stage, namely learning to crawl. The development continues and together we will now learn to walk, and a moment after that we will run ”.
